May I ask how long you've been studying Japanese (and what level you're at) and which university you study at?
I’ve studied for like one year (once a week only tho) in high school and then I’ve been here studying for about 5 months… so like 1,5 years or something? This is the first time i’m actually studying for real though, it was just for fun before~ I’m currently studying at a language school and not uni and I don’t really know what my level is exactly… I’m taking the JLPT N2 this summer though. (｡･ω･｡)
Do you ever joined the monthly Harajuku Fashion walk?
Nope, but I have a friend who usually participates ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ I don’t really like attention so haha, not really my thing. Also my style isn’t anything special so I don’t feel like it’s something for me. But I really like the concept and always enjoy looking at all the cute pictures of people afterwards!
Hello Cornelia! You have such an cute style <3,wich fashion brand describes you the most? And can you name some off your top 10 brands? What's the hottest trend at the moment in streetstyle? Sorry for overloading you with questions haha.
Hello! Thank you, you’re so sweet!
Hmm, that’s a really hard question! I don’t really know if I could mention just one since I buy things and get inspiration from a lot of different brands! But I do wear a lot of clothes from Merry Jenny but also a lot of second hand so I don’t really know… I more have favourite places to shop than favourite brands really!
So instead of brands (well some of these are) my favourite places to shop are in no particular order; Merry Jenny, Grimoire, The Virgin Mary, Kinji, Spinns, Ehyphen Bon Bon, Vivienne Westwood etc. I really enjoy second hand ♡ There’s so many ridiculously good resale shops in Tokyo.
At the moment many brands in Japan has taken inspirations for their spring collections from pin up style and the 50’s. A lot of gingham check, cherries, pastels (Pastels? For spring? Groundbreaking.) and so on. Also the “comfy stylish” look is really popular which combines elements like trench coats with New Balance sneakers and Fjällräven backpacks~ I think it’s gonna be a good spring clothing wise this year! This is just my estimation from what I’ve seen on the streets in Tokyo though ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
Do you update your blog anymore? (P.S Congrats on the magazine job - you're living my dream life haha!)
I’ve had a hiatus now for far too long so I’m going to start blogging again this week (´∀｀)♡ My life is really busy nowdays but I really want to share a lot of things~ And thank you, I’m kind of living my dream life as well atm… (a bit more money wouldn’t hurt though but oh well （○゜ε＾○）)
It’s a cultural magazine so it features art and music etc. as well so it’s not really your traditional fashion magazine (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ It shares office and cooperates with Nylon Japan though so it’s really cool ♡ A friend of mine is the chief editor and asked me to join and that’s about it haha~
Please update your blog!~~ We want to read about new tokyo adventures!
Gah, yes yes I’m so sorry haha. Idk it’s just been so much and I really want to blog but I don’t know where to begin which leads to me not doing it and then it goes on and on and whops haven’t blogged in a month…. but yeah, I really have the urge to do it so I’ll probably start again this week♥ Thanks for reading it!
Hello Cornelia :) I think you've got impeccable style, I really like your blog as well! Out of curiosity I was wondering how long does it usually take for you to get ready in the morning? And what would be your top tips for places to visit in Tokio? I'm going back there (visited last year too) and am on the look-out for cool places outside of the general well-known tourist spots. ^ u ^ have a lovely day~ - Fey
Hey there! I’m really glad you like my style and my blog, thank you so much!♡
Hmmm it depends on if I’m just going to school or going somewhere special where there’ll be fabulous people or something (then I take some extra time haha). Also I’m an expert on doing 6787654 different things at once~ But makeup and hair usually takes like 20 - 35 min? I usually wake up about 1,5 - 2h before I need to leave the house, so I don’t have to stress and get all things done…
Well, I really like Shimokitazawa! It’s a really “hip” and popular place among young people. A bit like Harajuku but without the tourists? Lots of cafés, second hand shops and indie designers and so on, awesome. ♥ Hope this helps a bit! Lots of love~
Hi Cornelia! I got some questions for you. I really love Nadia's clothes and I want so much one dress from it and tote bag. But the problem is that i can't find it on the internet! Ebay and similar website- nope. Have you any idea where could i buy them? And how much did you pay for your lilac dress? I love it!! Thanks for help;)
Hello! Nadia has an online shop, right here! I think I paid around 7,000JPN or something, I don’t remember exactly (´ε｀ )♡ Hope this helps!
